Alterra — design for a seedable multi-agent life sim on an ASCII grid: needs, emotions, memory, and social dialogue emerge from a perceive–intend–act loop. Architecture separates simulation core from pluggable intelligence (templates → local LLM). Repository is specification-heavy; Python implementation is the next step.
